This course provides foundation and conceptual framework of project communication management. The discussion will begin with the introduction of project communication management functions in the world in promoting the area of project management. In this relation, Project Management Institute (PMI) will be introduced to the students as recognized and professional institution for project management. Issues pertaining to PMI credentials, Core values, Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and Knowledge Areas among the topics to be discussed. Given that a project manager’s job is often said to be about 80% communication, this is another small knowledge area. The three processes are planning, managing and controlling project communications. It’s here that you’ll write your communications plan for the project and monitor all the incoming and outgoing communications.
