This course provides foundation and conceptual framework of project risk management. The discussion will begin with the introduction of project risk management and its functions in the world in promoting the area of project management. In this relation, Project Management Institute (PMI) will be introduced to the students as recognized and professional institution for project management. Issues pertaining to PMI credentials, Core values, Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and Knowledge Areas among the topics to be discussed. The first step in project risk management is planning your risk management work, and then you quickly move on to identifying risks and understanding how to assess risks on your project.There is a lot of detail in this knowledge area, specifically around how you perform quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.
